If you haven’t started watching, or already finished, Stranger Things on Netflix, you need to.

It’s a throwback to 80's kid-centric sci-fi/horror movies and TV. If you enjoyed E.T., X-Files, Stand By Me, Super 8, Goonies, Weird Science, and the like, you will love this one too. It has an excellent sound track as well.

Right now I am watching Peaky Blinders. I just started the second season a couple of days ago and so far its pretty damn good! I will have to watch Stranger things when I'm done with Peak blinders.

I tried to start Peaky Blinders about a year ago and just couldn’t get into it. I’ll have to give it another go.

Absolutely watch Stranger Things, definitely one of the best series they have made. Maybe not as good as House of Cards, but that could just be because it hasn’t been running as long.

Exactly. This past weekend was pretty much the only one that my girlfriend and I have had free all summer, damn social obligations. So we took advantage of it to do nothing. Watch a full season of some Food Network kids baking contest show Friday night too. haha

You should check out A Trip to the Moon . It’s available in both black/white and color, from 1908! The soundtrack is also by Air, which is neat.

ahhh awesome...my gf is working out in the hamptons at a restaurant this summer (2 hrs from nyc) so im kind of living the bachelor life at our apartment. She’s back in the city for a day off today so I’m making her breakfast and we’re going to the museum of natural history, loving this freelance life :)

Man, I’m jealous. That is definitely my dream work-life. haha I really need to start taking the time to write some actual professional articles/posts and build a portfolio. My only hesitation on the automotive journalism front has been the amount of freelance work it usually entails, and my need for medical insurance (thanks a lot birth defects and Obama! lol). But since my girlfriend is going to be a surgeon, I figure she will be able to worry about providing the insurance eventually. haha

It’s good for the freedom but it can be stressful when there’s no work to be had. That said, I’m still a lot happier than I was making a shit ton more with really dope benefits at my previous 9-5 desk job.
